If the posters we received for our recent Electrical Safety Poster Contest are any indication, there are a lot of kids out there who “get it” when it comes to being safe around electricity.

First of all, congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all the students who took the time to make a poster and to their teachers who collected and mailed the entries.

For the judges, looking at about 800 posters was time-consuming, but also one of the coolest things you could do at work. Some posters were so clever, they made us smile – even chuckle a bit. Some made us just sit back in awe at the obvious time and care that went into creating them.

Posters came made of all kinds of materials. Crayons and markers were the tools of choice, but we also had cotton balls, string, foil, pipe cleaners and more. It was quite a variety.

It was clear that these kids invested a lot of time and talent into their posters. For our part, we’re glad to invest in this contest and in the safety of these children and their families. They made electrical safety a work of art, and we couldn’t be happier!
