As part of our ongoing You Ask, We Answer campaign, we’re answering questions we frequently receive from customers. We want to be sure all customers are aware of bill assistance options.

How can I get help paying my bill?

A variety of programs are available to customers who are having trouble paying their bill. If you are in this position, please give us a call at 1-800-DIAL-PPL (342-5775). We want to help you find the option that works best for you and avoid any interruption in service.

You can visit our bill help website for more specific information on available programs. Here’s a quick rundown of programs that can help:

OnTrack: A reduced payment plan with debt forgiveness for customers meeting specific qualifications, including income guidelines. Local assistance agencies process OnTrack applications.

Operation HELP: A program supported by donations from PPL Electric Utilities, employees and customers that provides cash grants for home heating bills.

LIHEAP: A federal program that makes cash and crisis grants available during winter heating season – roughly from November to April each year. You can apply on our website or by calling local assistance agencies. The program is currently closed, but watch for more information later in the year.

Customer Assistance and Referral Service (CARES): A program that provides referral service and shut-off protection for customers. Customers can receive referrals to other community programs for possible help with immediate hardships.
