We’re hosting a diversity meet and greet event this fall, with an eye toward expanding the diversity of the companies that supply us with goods and services.
The event, which will give business owners a chance to meet PPL leaders, network and discuss potential supply opportunities, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at our Walbert Learning Center, 1639 Church Road, Allentown, PA 18104-9342.
Our event is set up specifically for businesses owned by women, minorities, veterans and the disabled. There is no cost to attend.
The event will feature opening comments by PPL Electric Utilities President Greg Dudkin; David Amico, PPL’s Supply Chain director; and Dara Connelly, PPL’s liaison for diversity suppliers. Also included in the event will be a presentation on the goods and services that PPL buys, and the level of service the company requires to meet our customer commitments.
Those who attend also will be able to meet our category managers who buy goods and services and can discuss opportunities for suppliers.
Suppliers interested in attending should contact firstname.lastname@example.org with their information and include “Diversity Meet and Greet event” in the subject line. In the email, provide your company name, the number of people planning to attend, the company’s diversity category, the types of materials or services provided, and contact information.
