Keeping up with the neighbors
As part of our ongoing You Ask, We Answer campaign, we’re answering questions we frequently receive from customers.
My neighbors have power but I don’t. Why?
We know it’s frustrating during an outage when nearby homes or businesses have power and you remain out. Here are common reasons why that can happen:
- Different neighborhoods – or even different parts of a single neighborhood – can be served from different circuits.
- We may have been able to restore your neighbors while we continue to work on a more challenging problem that affects your service.
If all of your neighbors have power and there is not a tree down on a wire, check your fuse box and safely reset your fuses if needed. If that does not restore your power, please report your outage online at pplelectric.com/outage or call us at 1-800-342-5775.

Hi, I wanted to know if you could have two separate bills for the same address?
Good Morning Tristen, The only time you would have more than one bill for the same address is if you had more than one meter at that address. Each meter has a separate bill. Thanks for reaching out to us!
I was wondering can I have two electric bills in my name at once I’m moving into a new house but I still have my daughter and her mom staying at the other can I keep the utilities in my name at my new and old house at the same time cause I don’t want them to be in the dark
Good Morning Antonio, Please know you can have two or more electric bills in your name at once. It is often easier to keep track of bills by setting up web profiles for these accounts. This gives you easy access to view your bills and make payments. You may also consider choosing paperless billing and autopay to keep it simple. You can set up your new account under https://www.pplelectric.com/moving. Complete the necessary information until you receive a confirmation page at the end that provides your new account number. We appreciate you reaching out to us!
