It’s the season of long days, warm temperatures — and new faces in the halls and in the field. Twenty-four interns are working with PPL Electric Utilities and PPL Corporation in summer positions.
Internships are a winning experience for everyone. PPL gives students the opportunity to gain experience, develop skills and make valuable connections. And current employees benefit from the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas these highly motivated students bring to the workplace.
While the majority attend colleges in Pennsylvania — including Lehigh Valley schools Moravian College, DeSales University and Lehigh University — some students are on break from Virginia Tech and the University of Puerto Rico.
The students, who have an average GPA of 3.59, are studying a variety of fields, including engineering, business administration, mathematics, corporate communications and paralegal studies.
Students have had the opportunity to network with PPL leaders from various departments. The interns also volunteered earlier this summer at the Allentown Boys and Girls Club, learning about our commitment to serving the community.
If you’re a college student with an interest in a possible internship, keep an eye on our Careers website. Any future internship openings will be posted there.
