Don’t fall for door-to-door “radon testing” scam
Heads-up: Scammers claiming to represent PPL have a new trick, and we don’t want anyone to be fooled.
We’ve heard that a man claiming to represent PPL recently went door to door in a housing development in Schuylkill County, claiming that PPL was testing homes for radon.
Please be aware:
- PPL does not test homes for radon.
- We only ask for access to homes on a limited basis, and only to attend to issues involving your electrical service.
- If you have any doubts about a person at your door claiming to be from PPL, you can ask them for ID, and also call us at 1-800-DIAL-PPL to confirm that we have employees or contractors working in your area.
- Do not feel pressured to admit anyone into your home.
