Thanks to everyone who took part in our appliance recycling day and food drive at our Lehigh Service Center on Saturday, Sept. 23!

Our customers dropped off more than 160 working window air-conditioner units and dehumidifiers, which will be responsibly recycled. The event helped customers save energy and money by making it easier for them to take older, less efficient appliances out of circulation.

Customers also donated cans of food, collected by Boy Scouts for a food drive. Those donating food received LED bulbs in return, while supplies lasted.

CAT Country was on hand to play music, while Bob-B-Q Sliders & Sides offered food. (Customers who donated A/C units or dehumidifiers could choose to receive a $10 rebate check, or a $10 food voucher for the barbecue truck.)

Some sights and scenes from the event:

Loading appliances was sweaty work, but it was worth it to help customers save energy and money.
