School is back in full swing, and PPL Electric Utilities’ energy efficiency programs for students are getting positive reviews from teachers, students and administrators.
These free programs teach students in grades 2-12 the importance of energy, natural resources, energy efficiency, and environmental issues. Each participating student’s family receives energy-efficient products to install at home.
Teachers receive instructional materials and activities that can be used in the classroom following the presentation. Teachers are also asked to collect surveys from their students, and can receive mini-grants of $25 to $150 based on how many surveys are returned.
Here are some of the notices we’re receiving this fall, starting with a note from the dean of students at an elementary school in the Harrisburg area. He had kind words for our “engaging and caring presenters.”
And, social media call-outs from schools in the Lehigh Valley, Lancaster County, and the Williamsport area:
We’re proud to sponsor these educational programs in conjunction with the National Energy Foundation and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
