We are focused Thursday (3/8) on completing restoration to customers who remain without power, and then releasing our mutual assistance crews to other utilities who still have many customers without power.
We’ve moved more of our expanded workforce into the Hamlin, Honesdale and Pocono areas to restore those customers to service. We have more than 1,900 people from 12 states working on power restoration, including line crews, tree crews and damage assessors. (Pictured at right: Mutual assistance crews worked Wednesday despite challenging weather to restore customers.)
We have restored all customers in other regions who were affected by Friday’s storm. We’re down to the last 1 percent of affected customers.
While many of the remaining repair locations serve relatively few customers, many still involve severe damage and will take time to repair.
We won’t release our mutual assistance crews until our power restoration work is complete.
