Ask Meg: Lending a helping hand
This article featuring Meg, our energy expert, recently appeared in Connect, our monthly customer newsletter. We’re also posting it here so people are aware of it.
Q: My grandad was always there for me. Now that I’m a working adult, I’d love to help him out from time to time by putting money toward his electric bill. Is that possible?
A: Such thoughtfulness! The answer is yes. Just call us at 1-800-DIAL-PPL (342-5775) with the recipient’s name and address and we’ll help you make a one-time payment to their account. We don’t retain your banking information. Your grandad will see a credit on his bill, but the bill won’t list who that came from. It’ll be up to you to break the good news.
If you have a question you’d like to ask Meg, drop her a line at connect@pplweb.com. To set up a payment toward another account, call 1-800-DIAL-PPL. (We can’t set up these payments through the blog, so please don’t leave a payment request in the comments. Sorry about that.)
