April 7 is National Beer Day. And on National Beer Day, no state stands taller than Pennsylvania.

Last year, the Keystone State produced more beer than any other state, according to an industry study. (Pennsylvania produced about 3.9 million barrels. One barrel is about 248 pints. That’s a lot of ale, lager, porter, stout, gose, kolsch, bock and weissbier.)

Here in central and eastern Pennsylvania, we’ve supported brewers large and small with our energy efficiency rebates and programs for businesses.

You might remember reading about the energy efficiency rebate we gave D.G. Yuengling & Son after the famous Pottsville brewery installed a combined heat and power system.

And our rebate programs helped Here & Now Brewing Company, an up-and-coming microbrewery on Honesdale’s Main Street, install a variety of energy-efficient equipment.

Know a brewer? Steer her or him toward our business rebates and programs website. We’d be glad to help them save money and operate more efficiently – while also helping to keep Pennsylvania at the top of the brewing heap.
