Each heating season, eligible PPL Electric Utilities customers leave money on the table – money that could help them with heating bills, heating system repairs and heating emergencies.

Grants through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, can help – and if you meet income guidelines, we want you to apply.

LIHEAP is a federal program that provides financial assistance in paying electric or other types of heating bills.

LIHEAP season started Nov. 1 and usually ends in mid-April.

LIHEAP funds are grants – they don’t have to be repaid. You can be a homeowner OR a renter. AND you DON’T have to be behind on your bill.

Cash grants are available from $200 to $1,000, depending on your situation. These one-time grants go directly to your utility company or fuel provider and will be credited on your bill.

Crisis grants are available if you’re in immediate danger of being without heat. That includes things like a broken heating system, a low fuel supply or a prior shut-off notice.

Heating bills spike in winter. A LIHEAP grant can bring peace of mind for you and your family.

You wouldn’t cash just part of your paycheck. You wouldn’t claim just half of a winning lottery ticket.

Don’t leave LIHEAP money on the table. Apply today.
