Are you also reimbursing hotel stays?? No power means life sustaining things are needed.

Hello, we understand this can be frustrating. The cost of food spoilage, gas, hotel stays, etc. are not covered by PPL during outages. However, most insurance companies may cover the cost from the loss of power after the deductible is met. Each policy is different, so we recommend contacting your insurance agency regarding your own policy.

This is horrible! Reimbursement for ice when no one has ice available. I stopped at 3 gas stations and all three were wiped out. You should be paying for a fridge full of groceries! We have been without power for over 12 hours and me and my wife both use refrigerated medicine. You should be ashamed!

Hello James. We’re sorry this is occurring. We will continue to reimburse for ice and water as the outage is ongoing, for food spoilage customers will need to review reimbursement with their renters/homeowner’s insurance. PPL does not cover the cost of food spoilage during outages, but depending on the policy and deductible, your insurance may assist.

Okay I have been out of power since Friday.
I think we should be able to a refund off our bill.
We pay enough for electricity, and this is ridiculous.

I am writing to address a significant issue concerning an ongoing power outage affecting my property. We have received confirmation that our electricity supply is projected to remain interrupted until Wednesday at 11:00 PM.

This extended period without power will inevitably lead to the complete spoilage and necessary disposal of all perishable food items currently stored within our refrigerator and freezer. This situation represents a substantial and unforeseen financial loss for our household.

I would like to respectfully inquire about the process for submitting a claim for reimbursement for these spoiled goods. Could you please provide detailed information regarding your company’s policy concerning compensation for losses incurred due to prolonged service interruptions?

For your comprehensive review and as documentation of the affected items, I have enclosed a series of photographs that clearly illustrate the perishable contents of our fridge and freezer.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the appropriate steps to follow to initiate a claim or if there is a specific form that needs to be completed.

How about PPL reimburse us for gas used in our generators that we were smart enough to purchase in the event of long term outage LIKE THIS ONE! We’re a captive audience. A 4 day long outage is unacceptable unless it’s a catastrophic event WHICH THIS IS NOT! July 5, 2026

What about reimbursement for replacing insulin that was lost due to the power outage and insurance won’t pay for it because it was already filled once, the cost of going to the laundromat just so we can continue to go to work, the cost of not being able to cook meals so having to find alternative solutions that are more expensive, or the cost of gasoline for our cars because we have to go sit in them to cool off or charge electronics? How about giving more accurate details and letting us know what is going on instead of us sitting here for 36 hours with the same message we had 36 hours ago? How about us actually seeing crews working because when I go out I see no trucks or trucks sitting in parking lots not doing anything.

Hello Elizabeth. We understand this can be frustrating. For the reimbursement of medical supplies, food, alternative accommodations, and so forth, we would advise checking with your homeowners/rental insurance to see what it would cover during a long-term outage. Each policy is different, so we recommend contacting your insurance agency regarding your own policy.

At 2 days now, you’re going to reimburse me for all the meat in my freezer and all the food in my refrigerator. I noticed you’re only getting the power on in the rich people’s area and can give 2 shits about other areas in camp hill. Why are you still allowing trees near power lines and using wooden poles??? Why should my family and I suffer while you rake in the dollars and never put anything back into the community just like every other company in this area. This is BS, I’ve got kids too. I think you should pay for our Generac
